i am going to build my first gaming pc and i have a limited budget and i need help finding a motherboard that supports a gtx 960 and ddr3 ram, along with a decent i5. It would be awesome if you could post newegg links for the parts.

 

Im not looking for the best, i am just looking for a computer to play some of the newish titles around medium settings or something like that

what's your budget? And which i5 do you want to get, because not all i5s work for all motherboards. I can help you choose all of that if I know how much you are willing to spend

It's nearly impossible to fit a core i5 with a gtx 960 for under $600, but I put together this build which should give you an idea of what you can get for the price. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/y9FYTH

Go for that with an i3-6100. Unless you need a lot of CPU horsepower, this will be fine for gaming, and that way you can spend a bit more on the GPU and get a nicer one.

Stretch that budget a little and get yourself a much better choice in GPU, the RX 480. No point in getting the GTX 960 now unless you're a diehard NVIDIA fanatic (you should be waiting for the GTX 1060 anyway).

 

See if you can buy from Amazon as well and wait for the AIB models of the RX 480 if possible. I'll assume you won't need an OS:
