Your opinion on Phantek's Eclipse case

Basically, i think it's awesome for the price, looks neat and i want it.

also what about the 3 different versions? silent window or just window? what does ''silent'' mean?

eh. its just another black box, i would expect more options for $100.

also, what about the side window on it? is it cheap or is it decent? because if it's cheap i'd probably go with the closed panel, as at least i know this is metal and looks like quality, i would'nt want to break the whole ''quality'' impression with a cheap plastic window.

It's actually the case I plan to use the next time I do a big upgrade so I would say it's pretty good, in my top 3 next to the be Quiet! Pro 900, the Air 240, and this is probably third, but the other two have weird form factors for me.

like what? i mean, it's CAD$ and for this price i think the other cases are bleemish compared to this one, for example the define S or define R5 looks like about the same on the functionnality and design side, and it's more expensive by a fair amount (20-50$)

i mean.. it's not hard to have the possibility to mount more than two hard drives is it?

they proudly state 6 3.5" hard drive bays "two included"

 

so.. how much are the extra ones, where can i find them, and why are they not in there already?

 

i dont use all the hard drive bays in my R5 (in fact, i use none right now ) but they do make great shelves for storing old hard drives in, and if i want to ever take my WD black out of the 5.25" slot i have the capability to do so. any case that is not an absolute rock bottom product (in my mind) is a product you'll use for the next 10 years until it's beat up, paint scratched off ugly, and there's better things on the market. you're more likely to run into issues with a fairly limited case like this one than you are with something more modular that will suit your needs now, and will still suit your needs 10 years from now.

i know i can buy enough acryl to make an entire case at my local hardware store for a tenner
