A bit of fun with my "new" system. Basically traded my P6T6 and x5670 for this board/CPU after selling. Not a huge upgrade but Intel SATA3 and UEFI is nice. :)
Only running triple channel until I get another stick of Viper III.
CPU-Z doesn't read the voltage correctly so I added AIDA64 as well.

1.325 I believe. LLC disabled. Tried for 4.8 at 1.35v but it wasn't stable enough to finish the test. LLC may have helped, not pushing it too hard as I'm on air, temps were already hitting mid 70's.

Nice.  Have you tried using the 125 strap with a 38 multiplier for 4.75ghz? You might be able to run that at the same voltage you are at now and still keep under 80c.

I haven't gotten 125 strap to post at all at any settings. Not sure what's going on there, I'm probably missing something.

Your efficiency seems quite off. Should be 800+ CB

These xeons are getting very popular, just so you know most boards will let you set 30x on all cores for a bit of a performance boost :)

I'm not really sure how to do that, but I'll check out the BIOS.  The reason these specific Xeons are becoming so popular is that Facebook decommissioned a ton of servers so these Xeons flooded the market.

Anyone know how I'd go about soldering the heatpipes of a Coolermaster Eclipse to the heatsink? Its  got loads of surface area+ 4 heat pipes, but they are pretty much attached to the fins by a few dabs of solder, and with minimal contact along the rest of them-aka, I now know why even my E6500K ran hot under it.

I'd buy a new heatsink that that point.

I've got it, might as well play around with it-the amount of air the turbine moves over the fins is brilliant-and it sucks in cool air through the top of the case as well as air from the bottom-and the air is extracted straight away by the top fan towards the front of the case, and the rear fan.
