Problems with more than 3 monitors

Good morning,

 

A computer with 2 x GTX 750Ti (they are not SLI, just installed on 2 PCI-E) has problem when displaying more than 3 monitors, blue screen or black screen will show up. 

I want to run with 6 monitors, but anything over 3 will start showing problem. 

 

System Spec: 

i7-4770K

Asus Z97-E

EVGA GQ 750W Gold Certified

16GB ram 1600mhz

BenQ RL2455HM monitors x 6

Asus GTX 750Ti x 2 

2TB Seagate HDD

1TB Samsung EVO 850 SSD

Windows 10 Home

But what do you need to do? If your CPU supports it you can do a GPU passthrough to a virtual machine and pass 3 displays to it as well or something like that anyways I think...

Well what do you need 6 displays for?

 

 

also I'm pretty sure you could possibly use a display port hub to power 6 displays with a single GPU on some GPUs

 

2gbs of VRAM is potentially a bit limiting, but it's probably given that they make it

 

There's also an older 5870 that supported 6 displays, 2GBs of VRAM should be perfectly fine for that many displays

it's related to work only. 

just need a lot of monitors to keep track on things with ease.

So with any 200 series or above AMD card at least, if you get a MST display port hub, you can power up to 6 displays, so unless you want the ease of use with the 6 display port card, I'd probably get a more powerful GPU

What are the resolutions? and do they all have display port? because they should really all have display port if you want a set up like this

have a quick question.

 

I am planning to get rid of the 2x750Ti and get a AMD card, 

i already have 3 BenQ RL2450H (comes with D-sub/ DVI-D / HDMI) no mini display ports. 

 

i will be getting 3 more monitors. 

Which AMD GPU will do recommend? 

The 6 monitors will be only using for multi-tasking, like having 6 different screens display. No gaming involved.

you'll have to use adapters anyway - either miniDP to DVI or DP hub with DVI adapters

i am thinking about this... Please see if this will work.

 

Asus R9 390 (3x dp, 1x hdmi, 1x dvi-d)

 

and i will buy 3 new monitors (all have hdmi)

Here is the setup: 

1x RL2450H connects to DVI-D

1x RL2450H connects to HDMI

1x RL2450H connects to HDMI to DP adapter, then going to a DP on the GPU

3x GL2460HM connects to DP to 3x HDMI, then going to a DP on the GPU

 

6 monitors all connected to a single R9 390. 

Will this work?

yeah, those will have to be all active adapters though, but why do you want a 390?

you said it's not for gaming... you can have extended desktop with like an R7 card

i just want a single card that can run with 6 display. 

and saw a R9 390 have all those ports. lol

 

trying to stay away from nvidia if they give problems. whenever run more than 3 monitors i get blue screen now

you can get any card with 2 DP ports and get MST hub to connect 3 displays to each port

1 MST hub alone is about $200 ... but that suggestion will work. getting 2 of those.

for desktop use VRAM is not of any concern, worst case scenario it will swap to system RAM and you won't even notice it

That's great. 

So any GPU with 2GB vram should be very enough for just display. 

Now i can choose another AMD GPU.

you'll be fine even with a 1GB VRAM

and even with 512MB VRAM if you can find one )))

no, that's why you need more display ports
