Are the keycaps on the g710 still an issue?

Does the g710 (non +) still have the keycap issue or did Logitech fix it?

Logitech used very fragile/brittle plastic on the original g710+ that caused the stems of the caps to break with relative ease.

I bought the G710+ last Saturday and afraid that the keyboard was just going to fail, Im already looking to return it. This AM, thinking on how much I love this keyboard, I called Logitech and the Rep told me that they fixed these issues that people were having in 2013 to late 2014. I decided to keep the keyboard because I love the feel and typing experience on it. If the keycaps break off Ill replace them with translucent ones and if the led lighting fails, ohh well!

Well I'd be getting one used (with the intention of selling it--id just like to know that I don't have to worry about the keycaps being fractured).

Appears so

I bought my G710+ late last year, and it arrived fully intact despite being shipped halfway across the planet

Bought from Amazon US, delivered to Singapore (GMT +08:00, south of Malaysia)

AFAIK keycaps never (*no more frequently than any other keyboard) broke during shipping, it was only during use and when you removed keycaps.

My old 710+ ESC keycap just fell right off. This was was few years ago, sent an email to Logitech customer support and they just sent me a new one, no questions asked. No problems with this so far.

No need to fret though

It uses standard layout keycaps

So unless additional cost is a deal-breaker for you, can get a custom set of keycaps.

It uses standard keycaps with abnormal spacing. And yes, cost does matter.

Keycaps were corrected over a year and a half ago. Wish we could wipe away the old reviews cuz they're not helping ppl now.
