Is GTX 950 SLI worth it?

i would hold on to the GTX 950 and save money for a GTX 1070...by the time you have the money there should be 3rd party cards readily available maybe you can find a model with a slight discount and sell the GTX 950 online or something...that would be what i would do...you have good CPU etc.

 

I would probably also look for used GTX 980ti

I already own a GTX 950... Should I buy a second and "SLI" them or should I invest on a single RX 480 instead? Also do you think I should save up some more money to get a GTX 1070?

Yeah... I kept the GTX 950 from my FX-6100 build... I didn't bother buying a GTX 970 since I knew my CPU would be a bottleneck and I wanted decent 1080p performance...

no save up for a 1070 or used 980/980ti

The SLI would cost exactly $150... I already own one 950....

You are still being limited by 2GB of VRAM. NOT WORTH IT.

Yeah... I was thinking about the 980 as well but the 1060 should offer the same performance... So I will wait for the 1060 benchmarks...

If the 1060 gives 980-like performance in DX11 for 300$, then I say fuck that and get a 200$ 480 that outperforms it in DX12.
