Internet Ping to 9999+ when gaming

So, this has happened yesterday AND today.

 

I can't play Rainbow Six Siege.

I load up the game fine, but about 5 seconds into playing my ping shoots up to anywhere between 4000-9999+ and I crash.

 

Minecraft can be gamed on with excellent ping and connection to servers, youtube and websites load fine.

What can I try to do to fix this?

 

My friends aren't having the issue and I can't game with them :/

i remember that happening to me and then my HDD basically broke, it was still usable but extremely slow, sorry that this post isn't helpful just looking back at a painful time...
