There's no reason not to consider GTX 1060

c00face

Over any AMD card. I was a AMD buyer, and I loved AMD for their price range, but as of lately... I'm starting to understand why many choose nVidia over AMD. And with the GTX 1060 launch, I just don't see AMD even coming close to nVidia, unless they drop the price of the R9 Fury, which is just bad business.

Because the GTX 1060 is out already with benchmarks? :P

Because many see nvidia and think OMG I MUST HAVE BECAUSE IT LOOKS GOOD or IT COSTS MORE SO IT'S BETTER or because they're fanboys. Also, just saying, AMD did have their moment when the R9 380 and the R9 390 both beat the 960 and 970 respectively.

As long as it isn't NSFW, and as long as it's on topic in this case, yes.

This is why you should wait for the 1060:

On the other hand, if you plan on cooking and play video games at the same time, the RX 480 is an excellent option.

The 980Ti uses even more power and generates more heat. I don't see you mocking the Nvidia camp.

Yet the reference cooler to the founders edition overclocked much better.

This is the lowest and hottest overclock I have seen for a long time on a reference cooler, if that makes me an idiot so be it.
