2x RX 480 vs x1 GTX 1070

So basically wich is faster, 2x RX 480 in SLI or 1x GTX 1070? And FYI for gaming purposes.

Multi-GPU setup for RX 480 is called Crossfire, not sli, FYI

And also 1 1070 is better, we don't know how they spar in performance, but sometimes games can be cheesy to multi-GPU and some doesn't even support it at all, not to mention they draws considerably more power than a single 1070

1x GTX 1070...easily...even assuming near perfect crossfire scalling and no dual-GPU issues (which is not even possible btw) a single GTX 1070 would remain faster.

it's easily better in every way you can think of.

Definitely one GTX 1070. Crossfire is plagued with issues such as microstuttering and improper utilisation within games. And also from a performance standpoint, it's a better choice:

Judging by the benchmarks I've seen, two RX 480's in Crossfire would only be faster than a GTX 1070 in the most favorable of circumstances. There's probably some games out there where it would happen, but for about the same price right now (and if the 1070 comes down to it's intended price, much less), one GTX 1070 looks like a much better choice to me.

Please don't get multi GPU setup unless that is the only way to achieve desired frame rates. If there is more powerful single card out there, get that instead.
