What processor should I get?

Hi everyone!

 

I am looking to upgrade my PC a little. I've only had it for about a year now and I'm thinking of getting a new CPU. This is my current build:

What CPU would you guys recommend for this PC? My intentions are to play triple A title games at their max resolution and above 60 FPS. The PC already does this most of the time, so would I benefit from upgrading my CPU? What are the advantages of getting a new, better CPU?

And it will improve/smooth the games slightly more and not get bottlenecks in cpu heavy tasks

 

If you only game it ain't worth it

if you are just gaming it isnt worth it to get an i7. get a higher capacity ssd

There is no reason to upgrade if you already have a haswell k i5 in your rig, you would get a slight improvement in games but it's not worth the hassle of buying a new cpu then trying to sell the old one to recoup the costs

 

I got confused if you plan to buy the parts listed and are considering an i7 to an i5 you would see an fps improvement in more intensive games, whether a couple fps improvement (I'd say less than 10 and averaging 3-5 this only applies to cpu intensive games mostly) is worth it too you I don't know, but if you plan to do other tasks like video encoding than an i7 is a no brainer otherwise weighing the costs to a couple fps it usually isn't worth it.

The benefit would be really small. Upgrading is not worth it if you use this PC for gaming and you don't mess with video editing software a lot.
