I've used my MS7 key on MS7, then MSX, then MS7 again, and finally MSX. doubt it changes

I think what they are going to do is do smaller upgrades rather than build a new OS from the ground up. I think they are trying to limit the costs of making a new OS. Plus MS is going in to services, rather than stay in software. 

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
