If you mean a trace, nothing good would occur. Either it would not work at all, or you would get malfunctions.

@Godlygamer23 yes trace / track same thing lol

 

@RatedBlam it didnt crack the mobo just dug into it a bit... all 4 did...

When it dug into the traces...did any copper show?

And since doing that, have you tried booting up your computer? If no copper is showing, it should work fine.

Oh, OK. If some thought went into making of the mobo, there is a safe area around the cooler-mounting holes

No, by amputee he meant it would malfunction or lose some functions.

Dead is when you can't post with the mobo anymore.

So... If Jesus had the gold, would he buy himself out instead of waiting 3 days for the respawn?

Not really. By amputee, i mean the motherboard may work but some functions may not be available any more due to the damage to that part of the motherboard. Weather it be one DIMM slot may not work or let us say a fan header my not be recognized but the rest of the motherboard still functions.

BAdly worded on my part, by pretty much dead I meant lost some of it's functionality, so almost dead would possibly be better
