I love it. Noctua for the sake of being Noctua. But the iPPC fans are not silent. Nothing like the original F twelves and fourteen. Not even with reduced speed.

I cant hear mine on my Swiftech H220... have them set to 1000rpm or 50% and not a single issue with noise. I have 7 fans in my case plus my water pump and its whisper quiet... all in how you tune the bandwagon...

I think they are. The noise to performance is above any other in my opinion.

I think so. They'll pay for themselves though reliability and longevity. I don't think people speaking for Corsair price/performance take into account that it's entirely possible for a good fan to work after five years. I realize one use-case says nothing about the overall quality, but I've got S12s from 2007 running in a secondary rig almost daily. No re-lubrication, just dust-removal done to them ever.

Then you have hearing problems. Or the fans are running much lower than you think. Those are loud fans.

Noctuas are better and painting the fans aren't recommended since it can affect how the fan performs. Some have recommended dyeing fans over painting them.

Noctua Redux. That is all.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.
