replacing cpu fans

MYX

Hello all! I am about to get a new cpu fan and wondering If I need to rebuild my whole pc, I am getting a https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00QMZIJ28/ref=s9_simh_gw_g147_i2_r?pf_rd_m=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&pf_rd_s=desktop-2&pf_rd_r=KJRP1EJXR28CQ4C8R9X0&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=b420c7ed-0dc7-4f64-beca-b1a9f89477f6&pf_rd_i=desktop which is compatible with my ASUS 68hm plus mobo

I was just wondering If I need to take the whole motherboard out and replace the fan or just simply detaching the old one and attaching the new one.

so basically do I need to take my motherboard out of the case and install brackets, or just use the usual AMD clip

Thanks!

you need to mount the backplate for that cooler so that means pull mobo out replace backplate and remount then reinstall mobo and your done

Looks like the  Athlon 860k  is 95 TDP. That cooler is insufficient.
