replacing cpu fans

Hello all! I was just wondering If I need to take the whole motherboard out and replace the fan or just simply detaching the old one and attaching the new one.

so basically do I need to take my motherboard out of the case and install brackets, or just use the usual AMD clip

you need to mount the backplate for that cooler so that means pull mobo out replace backplate and remount then reinstall mobo and your done

Before I can greenlight any coolers, what CPU are you running? The second one you linked is a 65W TDP one and it clicked in my mind that you may not be getting a 65W TDP processor.

my amd stock cooler hit 7,000 RPM while playing bf4

Looks like the  Athlon 860k  is 95 TDP. That cooler is insufficient.

Cryrig H7 and 212 EVO are good also if you have the room.
