I just sold my gaming computer yesterday and Im building a new one. I have around $600 to buy a video card, or possible 2 for sli/crossfire but am not sure what to get.

I currently have 3 1080p monitors in surround, but am going to be getting a 4k tv in the future for gaming. I was planning on getting a gtx 1080 but after looking around,

theyre all out of stock and people are saying I would have to wait until august for one.

So for aroung $600, what would be the best graphics card soulution whether it be a gtx 1080, 1070, 970 sli, 980 sli, or a 980ti?

Thanks for any help

I mean if you're willing to spend the money and wait then of course the 1080 would be the best option. Of course, you can always wait until AMD release their cards and make your decision then. Although, considering you just sold your PC, I'm assuming you want a quick option. You could perhaps buy a 1070 and sell it later on if needed to get the 1080?

If you are willing to go past 600$, you best bet is the Gtx 1080. If you really can't, I guess a 1070 is your second best bet.

Forget about AMD, they won't offer you anything worth your attention. Not within the next few months anyway.

Is there any 1070 or 1080 after market cards that havent been released yet so I can snag one on release day?

In theory, they're all released by now, save for the hybrid cards maybe...

Keep at it and you'll eventually find one in stock.

If I were you I would wait some time to see what amd provides with the new cards and then decide. If the rx 480 is as good as it supposed to be with 600$ you may be able to do a 3 way crossfire which will have great performance with 3 monitors.

Just don't rush it.

kingpin, but I think it'll be way outside the $600 (:

if you want it right now, today, uno momento - then it'll be 1080, maybe a 980ti SLI (they've been listed as low as $369 recently) if it can fin in the budget

If you're not in the hurry, I'll not even ask you to wait for AMD releases... but for the love of everything that is sacred to PC community... please... I beg you... wait for the 1080ti release, don't buy into this marketing crap

Right now there isnt too much for the $600 mark. 1080S are at least 650, 1070s are 450, and multiple card setups are still not suggested unless you have no other choice. The 1080ti will probably push the 1080s to the 600 mark, and Vega will likely have a card for around that but both of those are months off.

So. Either bump up to a 1080, save money with a 1070, or wait for the later releases.
