geforce experience automatically downloads your drivers and it takes like 2 minutes to update them

really convenient

also shadowpaly is the best, that is part of geforce experience

Yes, "optimizes" :P  I used to love that feature but I haven't used it in quite a while actually because their settings are usually uglier and more demanding than what I can setup myself.

Though with a 1080, it will probably just max everything so that's a no brainer :D

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Since you have a reference make sure you use a custom fan curve in MSI afterburner. If you didn't know that already. ;) Your GPU will throttle if you leave it at stock.

I am noticing a lot of people saying the built in optimization tool in the geforce experience is bad. What are your thoughts?

its not perfect

linus uses it and says its pretty good at giving an "average" optimization of his games, fairly close to what he would choose himself

sometimes hes busy and just wants to play a game without going in and tweaking the dozens of settings, so he just uses the auto optimization to save time

tbh you dont need to use it if you dont want

but dont hate it without trying it first

I find it tends to favour turning on Nvidia technologies like TXAA, PCSS shadows, etc that have a huge impact on the frame rate.  By turning things like this off, I can up far more other settings that make a bigger difference and improve both the fps and appearance overall.

Yes, this is important.
