TP-LINK AP500 only lists 20MHz channels...

jagdtigger

Greetings.

I just got my new AP( AP500 ) and started to set it up but according to wikipedia it lists only 20MHz channels:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels#5.C2.A0GHz_.28802.11a.2Fh.2Fj.2Fn.2Fac.29.5B17.5D

CH's listed:
36, 40, 44, 48, 149, 153, 157, 161

All of them 20Mhz >:(  .

Tried to set the AP to AC only and change the country to United States but i get the same list. AP settings:
2809240

Have someone any idea why i cant chose any of the wider CH's? unsure.gif

Are you using it in a bridge configuration kinda or as a router ? What channel radio are you using ?

It acts as an AP, it has no router capabilities.

You have to run on a specific channel radio for example 6. Maybe it is in advanced settings or maybe it get the best frequency possible for your environment.

Oh that, currently it is set to 48. The ch selection is no problem, its their type. All the channels listed in the Channel/Frequency dropdown list is only 20MHz wide despite the channel width set to 80 MHz(i played around with this too but no effect)...
