Then dont buy it lol. Plenty of other gpus from the past were about the same price. Hell cards from the 500 series were 600-700 bucks. This price is nothing new to be honest.

dude no they arent lol tones of cards from the past have had this price point going as far back as the 500 series. people either need to t a better job or prioritize their hobby spending more. Its like millennials expect everything they want to be dirt cheap. Things have value if you dont like paying that much either dont by it or save for it.

Meh should stop complaining these prices are nothing new. Its going to end up like the 980 and 980ti last gent the 1080 is going to be getting a price cut and the 1080ti is probably only going to cost 50 more then a 1080.

idkcouldnt tell ya, just saying what happened last gen. Though that was based on amd offering something on par with the 980ti for 600. So if amd doesnt deliver on the top end for a good price nvidia will most likely just laugh and keep the prices the same.

They wont lower the price because user complain, they will because there's competition from AMD or from their own newer gen. As of now the RX 480 still dont perform as good as a 1070, and their supposedly 1060 could very well have about the same performance as a 980/480 for about $250-280, so they wont lower 1070 and 1080 price. IF AMD release a RX 490 at around $300 for a ~1070 performance, THEN Nvidia would lower their 1070 price to around $330-350. Same goes with 1080, if AMD release a RX Fury or whatever that perform same as a 1080 and for ~ $500-600 too then Nvidia wont lower their price, if they release it at ~ $400 then Nvidia would lower the price of 1080 to $500

At least in my country every custom card so far, even the EXOC from Galax have higher price than the FE one. And due to GTX 1070 and 1080 being run out everywhere it's hard to even check what's their normal price

I can understand someone being upset if they get excited about new graphic cards and want to upgrade, but they only have enough funds to afford AMD's 400 series, but nothing from Nvidia 1000 series. People like to choose, and if sub 300 dollar cards are all someone can afford, their choice is made for them right now. AMD's 400 series eliminates gtx 980/970/960 and R9 300 cards, while gtx 1000 series eliminates 980ti/TitanX. Someone who wants the best performance they can get for sub 300 dollars has their choice made for them and their only upgrade path is 470/480.
