I have 2 27 inches and its awesome, I recommend one larger  one as games don't work on both monitors at once. it works for three if you want to do surround gamin

I have a 27 inch monitor and I am so happy I got it. I initially thought it might be too large but when it arrived it is perfect.

Monitors at both 1920x1080 and 2560x1440 come in 27" dimensions. We cannot possibly answer the question without at least knowing what resolutions we're comparing.

I would personally take the 24" 1080p monitor(s), because I usually feel like 1080p stretched out to 27" gets a little too pixel-y for my tastes. It would be best if you could see it yourself, maybe at a store with display models set up.

I ran 2x AOC G2460F 24" screens at 1080 for a long time and it was a great set up. if you're staying at 1080 then as above I personally wouldn't go 27", for 1440 sure.. but not for 1080 :)

I play PC games on my 50" 1080p TV at about 6 feet eye-distance.   I'm perfectly happy with it.  Do I notice a difference between it and my son's 24"?  Sure, but it's not bad.  I wouldn't play like that if it were.  If the image quality of the 24" has a baseline "score" of 10 out of 10, I'd say the 50" is a solid 7.5 - 7.8 out of 10.

I don't think you'll notice a difference between 24 and 27 inches.  3 inch difference is nothing at that size.
