Stop right there, criminal scum! Read this post before you say something like "gloves are stupid for using a computer."

I personally have an issue with my hands getting sweaty when I play games or even use the computer normally for a couple of hours. Is there some pair of gloves I could get simply so I don't need to clean my keyboard and mouse every two days, or is there some solution I'm not aware of? Thanks!

  1. Go to the doctor, if you're worried about the sweat this much it's probably a problem
  2. I'd imagine that cotton gloves would work great in this situation. Ooh, here you go https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gleader-COTTON-MOISTURISING-LINING/dp/B00X97AUD8/

I think it's a normal thing, my hands don't get soaked, they just sweat a tiny bit. However, my problem is that it's enough to get my peripherals oily really fast, and I really don't want that to happen when I get new ones. Thanks for the link, I'll check those out.

I have a similar thing.

Only usually while playing a game like Rocket League on my PC. (Where I'm using a controller).

I've tried gloves in the past, they stop the item you're holding from getting sweaty, but I found they are more uncomfortable as your hands get/stay hotter.

If you find anything which helps a bunch let me know. :)

You can probably wear gloves that people use to bike, something like this:

It should prevent your hands from getting too hot and the fact that it doesn't cover your fingers entirely should not interfere too much with your dexterity.

Erm, it's not normal, when it's enough to make your periphs extremely oily/dirty :P

Seriously, I would go to the doctor to get it checked out. Maybe it's harmless, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it normal.

As others have said, there are several things you can try. Cotton gloves will be best for absorbing the sweat - you'll have to wash them or dispose of them every week or so though, otherwise the gloves themselves will get nasty.

Mechanics or Cyclist gloves would also likely be good, since they tend to have grip material on the palms of them, but your dexterity might suffer a bit, and you will be more uncomfortable compared to no gloves.

You could try using powder, like Baby Powder or similar, to dry your hands, or simply keep a towel (Microfibre or standard cotton bath/hand towel) nearby and constantly just pat your hands dry every few minutes.
