Hello. I found this computer on microcenter, and was wondering if anyone can build a computer for more than $50 cheaper than this, same specs. In my situation I can't build at the moment, wondering if this would be an average buy. (http://www.microcenter.com/product/457543/G416_Desktop_Computer)

Oh yeah, it's pretty bad. It doesn't go out of ATX spec, but it comes close. No excuse to use it when your budget is $1200.

Edit: Apparently only Jonnyguru has a review for it. Worst thing I could gather from it is 90mV ripple on the 12V rail.

520 is more than enough and they use maybe 50W~ more at the most. (970 = 190-230, 390 = 220 - 280~) Also, get the OS off of G2A or /r/microsoftsoftwareswap or something.

i'd say something along these lines, no GPU there because its best to wait right now. i'd go between the 1070 or something AMD releases based on the actual shelf price and 3rd party benchmarks. anyone quoting me speaking for or against either option better come with some dang good sources.

no GPU would make gaming hard,  rather have a lower quality gpu now and be able to game then have nothing now and just wait

Yes, was just going to say. The main parts I want in my PC is 16gb ram, 128-256 gig ssd, 2tb and a 6700k  and 970/390.

grab a 390 if you're looking at 1440p or if you have 80 more dollars, wait and get a custom-cooled GTX 1070 when those are out for $380. Those will perform quite a bit better at 1440p or high-framerate 1080p than a 970/390

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here
