Depends on pricing and benchmarks.

Athlon X2 for only 27.31$   Best part lists at different price points   Windows 1.01 running natively on an Eee PC

according to the rumored pricing of the 6800K being arround $434,-

I would say just grab the 5820K for just $369,-

Because allmost a $70,- price premium for just a die shrink is just completely nonsense.

tHat 100mhz clock diffrence is not going to be mindblowing most likely as usual.

And the ipc gains well is also a couple of % at most.

yup, but if the broadwell-e cpus drop in price (within 30$ of haswell-e) then broadwell-e would be worth it

Exactly.

And i´m allready fearing our Dutch pricings being trough the roof as usual.

 

I was realy interested in some of the newer X99 refresh boards.

Like the Asus strix or the Gigabyte Ultra gaming.

But yeah hearing these cpu´s prices makes me think twice about this.

Maybe waiting for Skylake-E.

Because yeah X99 is from 2014 allready and pretty dated.

And it has allot of flaws.
