Question about cooling.

OcramBro

So I built my first rig not too long ago and I've been using the stock cooler on it. Recently my game times have been more than usual since I'm off for the summer. And I've noticed more lately that the cooler sounds REALLY loud and it kinda worries me since I don't want anything to be dying so soon. So is it normal or should I get a 212 evo or something.

I would but you several options out there to chose from.

I should ask;

What are your system specs?

What are the temps you are getting?

What case?

AMDs stock cooler should be just fine for not OC'd CPU. But as Jayz2Cents said in one his last videos about cooling, your components degrade overtime, even when not OC'd. So increase in temps could be that. However, sudden increase on fan speeds is usually due dust + raised room temp. Good cleaning and maybe new thermal paste will solve this for now. Investing on cheap cooler like 212 Evo is still good choice if you game over 4h daily.
