Software to check HDD health?

Just something I was wanting to know real quick. I have a 1tb desktop HDD lying around in an old pc I built and never use anymore. As far as I know it should be perfectly fine, however I was wondering what software I could use (I know of one, but don't remember the name) to scan my HDD to see it's health and run a test on it.

Find out who manufactures it, and if they offer a diagnostic tool. I know WD do them.

From Hitachi I believe. Which is another reason I want to test it since I'm not that familiar with their brand and how reliable it is. I used it in my previous pc cause I reused it from a shitty prebuilt desktop I got in 2012 or 2013

You can also use crystal disk info or any other smart tool to check the smart status. Badblocks is also usefull for checking for bad sectors.

I ran the that program to check it out, also used crystal mark. Everything seems to be working just fine.
