MY MOBO IS WHAT I NEED HELP WITH MOST

Ok this is a pretty solid build but you might want to go with a Z170 motherboard, some DDR4 and a 6700k for the processor because its a newer generation and you will also need a graphics card but i would hold off until AMD launches there Polaris line of cards

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

I can do better for less money.

This is more than enough for solid 1080P gaming at maximum detail.

The problem is that this is an nVidia product and scoring any nVidia product a "zero" is also highly predictive of the number of nVidia products the reviewer will receive for review in the future.

You apparently haven't seen his responses to questions on YouTube. He is very condescending and aggressive in his comments with which there is little justification. His endless dick jokes and toilet humor are annoying as well.

Your PSU is of lower quality and your CPU cooler is weaker.

Indeed, but that is how I was able to afford a better case and a faster, 240GB SSD. Also that thermaltake PSU has pretty good ratings on amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Standard-Bronze-ATX12V-SP-650P/dp/B00B6A8N3O

Tweaktown tore down the 750w PSU and gave it a good review:

http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/5613/thermaltake-smart-750-watt-80-plus-bronze-power-supply-review/index.html

It's up to OP, but If it was me I would buy this PSU and used my money saved for a faster 240GB SSD.

Yeah, no. A PSU´s quality should not be deemed by it´s reviews.

Why not? Reviews is literally analyzing the quality of the product. Let's see what @STRMfrmXMN thinks. STRMfrmXMN, would you buy this thermaltake Smart series 650w PSU?

Gonna have to agree with Star here, the Smart isn't that great. User reviews don't deem the quality of the unit, official reviews and specsheets do. Most of those reviews are either "Didn't work out of the box 1 star rip PSU" or "Have had the PSU for 11 minutes I love it, 5 star review."

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

You could take another $25 off your build if you ordered the 4790k from microcenter(its on sale for $290), since the op said he lives near one.
