I am running a 4790k, with a x61 cooler.  My current settings are, 4.5 GHz @1.200 volts.

How do you think this OC is? I am running stable on prime 95.

I don't have a history of overclocking but that does seem like a good speed.

Well I have a different CPU, it runs on the same architecture. I would say thats a pretty decent overclock, with 'above average' low voltage. I would say if temps allow it (which the low voltage should) shoot for the stars.

Just a note by shoot for the stars I mean upgrade your cooler and shoot for 5Ghz.

That's a pretty good OC. Mine does the same, then 1.22v for 4.6, then a jump to 1.26 for 4.7 if it's any help for you moving forward.

There are quite a few 4790K's out there that hit 1.24v to turbo. Granted, if you control voltage manually, they run at nearly the same levels as the 4790K's that turbo up to 1.18v, but it's still fun to see your chip running faster than 4.4GHz with lower voltage than what some chips think they need to run stock.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

How is this OC? i am running prime 95 version 26.6 for about an hour.  Please tell me if my max temps are good and if my voltage is acceptable. I am still paranoid about my temps being super high.

Your temperatures are nowhere close to *High*.

I would be cautious if the temperatures were 80*C or above.

68*C max is pretty fantastic...

4.4 ~ 4.6 GHz with around 1.2V for the i5-4690K and i7-4790K is about normal.

I need about 1.21V for 4.6 GHz with my own i5-4690K.
