Recommend An Ultrabook

hey i want an ultra book between £400 and £450.

i thought that the xps 12 was a good idea but a friend says its not great so i wanted recommendations.

i need an ssd that has at least 120 (i don't care about what ssd though) and at least 8gb of ram.

it also needs to have a decent to good CPU with good enough integrated graphics that i can run basic games like maybe hearthstone i don't know though.

it does not need a graphics card as stated by me asking for ultra book recommendations.

finally it needs to be light and portable and have a decent battery size but that's not super necessary as i could get a  battery bank.

thanks in advance for any suggestions :)

I'd recommend an Asus UX305, but I'm pretty sure it's slightly more than £450.

i5 4670k @ 4.2GHz (Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo); ASrock Z87 EXTREME4; 8GB Kingston HyperX Beast DDR3 RAM @ 2133MHz; Asus DirectCU GTX 560; Super Flower Golden King 550 Platinum PSU;1TB Seagate Barracuda;Corsair 200r case.

An XPS 12 costs way more than 450 pounds.

You're asking way too much for $650 USD. Honestly.

You'll be lucky to have 8GB RAM at that price. Much less a 128GB SSD.

At $650 USD the best you can ask for is a Core M and maybe 8GB RAM.

It's quite a bit more but the trackpad is really nasty.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

After a quick search on amazon.co.uk, it's £550. Meh.

Just get any cheap ultrabook. It won't make much of a difference.

cheap ultrabooks consist of ultrabooks that are less than $1000 USD and approaching $800. Not below.

Anything around $600 is just a cheap laptop.

95% + of ultrabooks are more than $800 or start near there.

My laptop cost near $650 and it is really unbelievably shitty.

I spent ~500$ on my first craptop, and it was an Acer to top it off. That happened in 2007. I'm really surprised that it's still running today, after not encountering any problems with it at all.It does have a 30 minute battery life and lacks like 6 keycaps though. I wanted to replace them, but found out that it would cost more than I'd get from selling the whole laptop itself. I also put Arch on it and it's not that slow at all tbh.

Are you joking? Of course you will get less for a laptop than what you got it for, you can maybe get what 30$ for it since it is a acer and the keyboard and battery will have to be changed

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

I meant it would cost more to get new keyboard caps than I would gain by selling the entire laptop.

umm did you not see the 2nd hand x1 carbon suggestion? You can't get a better laptop for that kind of money and that laptop could have had a new price of over 2k.
