Hello!

So my Samsung S4 is starting to be old, and it is time for a new phone.

Now I've been always using Android phones, and I am not sure if I should go over to iOS.

Now I want you guys to help me which phone I should choose, the price doesn't really matter as long as it's not super overpriced.

I am daily using social medias like Facebook, Instagram, 9Gag etc. So a decent camera would be nice to have.

Not too small, not too big. I would like the same size as my Samsung S4.

I am also a browser person, spending a lot of minutes browsing and reading on my phone.

I rarely play games, which means the phone shouldn't be a gaming phone, but it should handle games like chess and "pool" games for example.

I prefer style, less plastic cheap looking.

A decent screen with great picture quality and durability.

I would also like to know why you recommend this phone.

Thank you!

derpylt

Nexus 6p user here, great phones. If you want my advice, wait until the new nexus phones come out and get one of those. If you are willing to pay for it, the HTC 10 is the best phone out there right now in my opinion.

Its automatic, just press this button!

I would say iPhone 6s bcause it has a

  • Great camera
  • Good social media apps
  • 4.7" screen
  • Safari is useable.
  • All aluminium 7000 series build
  • IPS with great viewing angles

That is the one I would recommend on the iOS side but, the iPhone 7 is comming out soon so if you're going iPhone wait for the iPhone 7 as it has a better camera and maybe screen.

But on the android side hands down the s7..

I don't know much about the android side but I know that the s7 is a beast phone from what I've heard.

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

The Samsung Galaxy A5  2016 sounds like a phone for you. 5.2 inches I don't think it's too pricy anymore (about 350$) I think, the screen is good and it feels premium. Chipset isn't the latest but it sounds like you wouldn't need that anyways.

The 6s is great if you want an iPhone. On the android side there are lots of phones better than samsung's lineup. Sadly many of them are unknown because when people think of smartphones they think of apple vs samsung.

samsung never updates lower end phones, bad investment.

if you want a branded lower-mid end phone the only way to go is sony.

Yeah, I'm heavily bias towards Apple and iOS and I don't follow up on phone releases. I don't even know the good smartphone manufacturers anymore on the android side as they have changed since 4.4.4 kitkat. I can list like 5.

Another vote goes to the Nexus 5X.

I recently switched from the Nexus 5 to a 6P (both were factory unlocked; Nexus 5 was directly from the GoogleStore).

I would have gotten a 5X (perfect size and feature set), but the full aluminum body of the 6P was the final deciding factor for me.

Both my parents have Samsung phones -- all the Samsung bloatware apps is too much.

Just go bone stock Android.

Well it has no scratches on the screen, back and the camera. So I'm going to have it as my backup phone, or I just give it away for someone who needs it.

Heh heh, funny you should mention that... May or may not need a new phone myself right now...
