Motherboard won't go into BIOS

I have a gigabyte X99 UD3P motherboard and when I try to get into the bios by pressing the delete key on startup, it just shows a black screen. However, if I unplug my drive, it boots into BIOS just fine. I have tried multiple hard drives and SSDs and it won't go into BIOS when any of them are plugged in. The PC will boot into the OS just fine, but I can't get into the BIOS

some mobos have a button for it, if not, remove the CMOS battery on the board and put it back in

Bear in mind that the PC must be unplugged and discharged for this to work. Additionally, you must wait for the remaining electrical energy to be consumed by the CMOS chip. It's not an instantaneous thing.

There should be a jumper on the mobo to clear CMOS, but I guess that it isn't your mobo that is flawed, it is that you probably have to press F1 or F2 to boot into BIOS in a Gigabyte mobo

APU: AMD A10-7850K cooled by an NH-L12; PSU(going to upgrade sooner or later):  Antec VP450P;RAM: 2x4GB HyperX Savage 2133MHz; MOBO: Asus A68HM-Plus; CASE: Itek [something] ; HDD: WD Blue 1TB(WD10EZEX)

OS: Triple boot openSUSE Leap Debian Jessie and Windows 10(aka MSX)

You can also use the Fast Boot app from Gigabyte (Just install the app center and then Fast Boot). This allows you to boot into the bios directly from Windows by clicking on "enter Bios setup now" button at the bottom left.

Hold the power button, then it is instantaneous.

I looked in the manual and it said to press delete to get into the BIOS.
