red plastic with red light is not complementary. white plastic with red light pops more. (also red is so basic, everyone has red or blue)

Mixing white and red typically doesn't end up looking good in my experience. Black and red light would be the way to go in my opinion.

i wanted something with contrast, how about yellow lighting fans?

Well I have decided to go with the blue riing fans 120mm for the radiator. I think that will go well and I can always replace the led strip that comes with the case to a different color from red.
