MSI gtx 960 question

My friend wants to know if he can use the MSI gtx 960 cooler on the Asus gtx 960 STRIX card.

 

I told him I don't think thats possible, whats your thoughts on it?

He doesn't like the design of the strix, he likes the look of the MSI one. He was unable to get the MSI version. Out of stock everywhere (His parents don't let him buy online) 

 

Where would he find a MSI cooler then?
