I think that graphics messed up, but we will see how it stacks up with legit testing.

I think 7970 performs more like R9 280X. Basically they're pulling the same tactic as nVidia with a new high end card and the rest of the line-up performing like the slightly higher end predecessor (R9 280X = 7970, R9270X = 7950 etc.)

The performance of a 290 was a lot less than I was expecting. And you can already get 7970's sub $300 so the 280 isn't very exciting either. I am disappoint.

R9-290X is the all new Titan competitor GPU.
The R9-280X is a 7970 Ghz Edition.
Still not sure what an R9-270X is, could be a 7870 Tahiti LE, could be an overclocked 7870.
R7 260X is a 7790.
