Replacing stock fan on CRYORIG H7?

Go to solution Solved by DioOmicida,

Most people do not care for LED fans as you can just light up your entire case with LED strips.

BitFenix is really the only brand I can find with these options.

Hi there,

I would like to replace the stock 120mm fan (QF120 BALANCE) on my CRYORIG H7 with something better.

By better I mean quieter. I would also really like the new fan to have LED's (my case has a big window).

I would also like the new fan to feature PWM as the current fan has that and my mobo supports the 4 pin connector.

I was very excited about the Phanteks PH-F120SP LED, but sadly no PWM.

The only other guy I can find is the Spectre LED PWM Fan Series from BitFenix.

Am I crazy to limit my options to PWM only? There are these details on the mobo website - just to add a little more detail to the mix:

"*CPU_FAN1, CHA_FAN1 and CHA_FAN2 can auto detect if 3-pin or 4-pin fan is in use.
The CPU Fan Connector supports the CPU fan of maximum 1A (12W) fan power."

cheers!

I would just recommend a noctua cooler then add led light strips to the case. It gives it a much cleaner and imo better look

The Aerocool DS series looks beautiful and is on the quiet side with the 7V cable connected, but it's not PWM. If you're using SpeedFan, that's not a big issue, as the fans will spin up between 25-35% power. If you're not using SpeedFan, you're restricted to DC control and stuck between 50-60% as a minimum. Your call.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

If you want a quieter replacement fan, a NF-S12A would probably be the best option.

I find the stock fan to be pretty quiet. It's definitely the quietest fan in my system, even at 100%.
