Make computer Silence/Quite

In New Zealand Arctic F12 120mm are $9~ they are ugly but, cheap. I was wondering if it is worth going to a high end solution such as the cooler master jet flow ($25~) or even noctua fans which range from $35-40 each would make my case more quite. I will be running a fan controller with them at around 7V and wish to get a dead silence from my computer which sits stupidly on my desk. I really am annoyed with my stock cooler master strom trooper fans as 2 of them have started to die, making an awful sound.

Go with either a Corsair Air series (AF or SP series) or the Noctua fans :) If you hate your stock fans you will kill yourself from the noise of the Arctic ones ;)

One thing I thought I'd mention is check the Noctua triple packs at computer lounge $100 and check the gelid selection at Techworld $15 - $20.

I think you mean quiet, and I've used Gentle Typhoons when I found them for cheap. My brother uses Bitfenix fans which are pretty quiet either. You can always lower the voltage on them if you want complete silence, but you get less airflow sometimes.

I once was a poor man, but then I found a crown.

There are cheaper and quieter fans.

Once you go noctua you'll never go back.

They are silent. I have 2 on my h100i and another 2 in my case. The only noises are my psu fan and graphics card, and they're really quiet

If you look up Techworld (nz company) they sell a ton of fans for cheap. Stuff like Antecs and Scythes. Trust worthy company too, you send an email and youll get a nice detailed one back. All run in nz by nzers.

I had a feeling I would get a lot of hatred for that one ;)

I went on the internet and told a lie too once

It is not a lie if you honestly think that it is true ;)

I run mine at 7V and they're still loud (for my preference) xD

I run mine at 12v and the only thing I hear is my GPU fans which ain´t really loud at all...

There are cheaper and quieter fans.

Silence ain´t everything ;) The SP and AF series fans are well built which mean that they will last :)

I'm comparing mine to my cougar which might be why I find them loud, funnily enough, the fans that come with my C70 is quieter than SP fans on 7V :o

Noctua fans (including for your CPU heatsink) at to low speed. Your HDD and GPU fan will be the loudest thing in your computer (assuming no disk in the disk drive).

Also, a case like the Fractal Design ones, where you have rubber mounts for the HDD, and sound absorbing materials on the panels to help reduce the noise.

If you plan to save money, go for the Arctic. I have 4 of them in my rig and I don't hear a thing from them. Where I come from, the Arctic are considered to have good price/performance ratio ;) . Noctua are premium fans for those who don't have any problem spending money. The choice is yours  :)
