Do I need SP120 or AF120 at the rear of my case?

RRGT19

Case: Fractal Design Define Nano S

Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212x Turbo Edition (dual fans)

Cooler fans: Corsair SP120 PWM

At the rear, what is the best option here, AF or SP?.

Rear fan                              CPU Cooler                             Airflow

AF120 or SP120     |     SP120 heatsink SP120   <<<<<<, Airflow <<<<<<<

Do I need to have a SP behind another SP fan or just AF at the rear of the case?.

1. Neither they are loud and arent the most powerful

2. If you have to it wont make much difference get the cheaper one.

3. Why not the stock fans?

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

What?, I have both, SP and AF around here.

My question was: what is the best option to have the best airflow, SP behind SP or the AF will be fine?.

Thanks for your help but I still have my doubt about this. jejeje

I would use the SP should be a bit quieter.

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

I don't care about noise...

I'm talking about the best configuration, because due to I will use two SP120 with the CPU COOLER, what should I have at the rear, SP or AF.

I don't know if you understand what I try to say.

In theory the AF fan should be better as it moves more air , but if its being used as an exhaust it doesn't matter you wont see a difference in temps between the two

AF120's are quieter and are more suitable for heatsinks. The static pressure from the SP120 is mostly beneficial on highly restrictive places like on rads.

Good to know. I assumed the SPs would be quieter because of the RPM 1650 vs 1450

AF-oriented fans tend to be quieter in general--not entirely sure why.

The thing is that I already have two SP120 PWM here...

:(

I just need one for the rear of my case

I've tested the Hyper 212 EVO with the stock fan and AF120s, and, given the same RPM, the AFs ran 3-7 degrees hotter.

I'd call a heatsink a highly restrictive environment.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

SP120's work fine. They're just louder for the same performance for a rear exhaust.

RPM is arbitrary. Compare performance to noise and not rpm.

Here, the AF120 performs better than the SP120 at the same noise except for the blip at 14 dBA. http://www.silentpcreview.com/article1342-page9.html
