Usually, you can't go wrong with ASUS or EVGA. MSI is also a good alternative.

Asus warranty is not great

MSI has a service center in Canada

EVGA sometimes pays for shipping

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

None.

Wait a week after launch so you can look at reviews and preformance charts.

Then make your decision.

wont there be like a 5 fps difference?

id rather go with the better company than decide on because of 1-5 fps

Typically with gfx cards, they either go bad as you are opening the box or they don't go bad until lightning strikes your house.

Really, the biggest difference between those three that I have seen boils down to a choice of if you want Witcher, Minecraft, or GTA bundled with your card. :P

What?

You don't want to buy a card that is shit, you don't want to be stuck with a GPU equivalent of the bulldozer CPU architecture.

Just wait, the MSI model will preform just as good as the ASUS or EVGA model and so on, so it doesn't really matter what brand you get preformance wise.

You can get Minecraft from a GeForce bundle? Da fuq?

Also, I'd probably go with EVGA. Have experienced their customer support myself, and I have nothing but good things to say about it.

a 1080 is a really good card even the worst 1080 will still be amazing it wont be a "GPU equivalent of the bulldozer"

How would you know, you only have what nvidia has told you. I am not saying the GTX 10x0 will be bad, just that it could be bad.

/sigh

The 1080 probably is a "really good card". It may even be the best when it is released. Right now we only have Nvidia's word on that. Now neither Nvidia nor AMD are known to lie, but both have been known to be misunderstood on occasion.

So a question for everyone. Will the 1070 ship will a full 8 GB or 7.5 +0.5 GB? :P

msi asus or evga which should i get to go on the list to preorder the gtx 1080?

EDIT: i think i am going for EVGA

EVGA. You will not regret it. I have ordered over 20 EVGA cards and had not a single one fail.

First 2 MSI cards for a friends build, 1 was DOA and the other one broke after 3 hours of benchmarking (Only at 73 degrees, so not overheating issues
