Case fans?

Telebubbies

Hey guys! I am in a bit of a pickle right now. I have a CoolerMaster mastercase pro 5. It has 3 fans. The fans has a 3 pin connector. On my motherboard, I can only find 1 3 pin connector. Can I connect the other 2 pins anywhere else?

Thanks in advance!

Splitter, hub, controller, etc.  Most boards usually have at least a couple headers besides the cpu.  What model is the mobo?

There are probably some more fan headers that you are overlooking.  I can't say for sure without knowing which specific board it is.

It is the Gigabyte GA-z170-HD3 DDR4

3 pin fans can plug into 4 pin headers, or 2 pin ones, of course in a 2 pin header they'd be going full speed all the time

The third pin reports rpm but the speed can be controlled by two pins.

Can you please help me? On the motherboard, it says SYS_FAN 1,2 and 3. SYS_FAN 3 has 3 pins. That is what I am looking for. The other SYS_FAN's has 4 pins.

I have the CoolerMaster mastercase pro 5, so I have 3 fans with 3 pins...

You can plug 3pin fans into 4pin headers.

I got it to work. But now I have one case fan that cannot be connected.. There are 3 fan headers on the mobo and 2 are taken by the fan, and the third is taken for the coolermaster hyper 212x. Is there still a way to connect the third case fan?

the 212 fan(s) should be plugged into the white fan header labeled cpu fan, should be around the top of the board or below the cpu socket nearish the ram slots
