Windows 7 vs Windows 8 hyperthread support

w7 is barely using my hyperthreads and i think thats what causes the stutter in source games.

does w8 make better use of ht?

But first, let's talk about parallel universes.

windows version has nothing to do with how well a game is programmed and makes use of threads

if youre having stuttering then something else is probably the problem

usually, it's the games that aren't programmed to use hyperthread or anymore than 2-4 cores. Hence why gamers never really need better than an i5 unless they do video transcoding or stuff
