Not bad, but you could be getting an i7 6700 for that budget, and a 390 is going to be faster than a 970

wait I was wrong it's not not bad, skylake can't use DDR3, only DDR3L for long term use, you're best off just using DDR4

390, more wins at 1440p + though

also don't use a USB wireless adapter over a proper PCI-e card, especially if you plan on gaming over it

No point going with an i5 6500 (non K) with a good cooler because you won't be able to overclock it. And a 390 will perform better, usually, than a 970.

If you do change to a 390, a more capable PSU will be required... 750W is advised.

Yes it does, it's the K parts that lack coolers unless you count the OEM/tray parts, because people just replace the stock one anyways, still kinda stupid they don't put one but whatever, hopefully zen forces intel to make some changes

Just changed the case and psu. I'm more familiar with this case, but it's still good right?

Suppose if you want the fully modular one it's only 8 bucks more or so

Otherwise probably fine, there's also this decent budget option for a Silence and Dust resistant case

A 390 is going to be fine on even a 550W PSU with skylake at least given it's low power usage
