Hi everyone i want to buy a tablet but i dont know wich one to choose

My budget is arround the 400€ and the use will be to study and read my notes and will be also to watch media (like youtube and movies)

I can buy a Samsung galaxy tab s2 9,7 32 GB wifi at 380 Euros, but i dont know if its the best option because of the ratio (for the media)

Can you guys suggest me wich one to buy (or if the s2 is a good option)

The Tab S2 9.7 is a great tablet.

I've had one for a few months now, the screen is amazing and for study the display is so nice.

The only downside is the speakers but they sound much better than some others.

I highly recommend the Tab S2 9.7 to anyone, absolutely great tablet with amazing battery life (music playback for pretty much 24 hours with 20% battery remaining) and the best display I've ever seen. 11/10 highly recommend.

EDIT: I also use mine for heavy media playback and it is amazing, I can stream a 1080p video from YouTube in 1080p and it does not miss a beat.

EDIT 2: Also, the memory is expandable so if you buy a 128GB MicroSD card you can load all of your movies on to that and put it in the tablet, great use of it. I don't need one yet but will most likely soon because of how much crap I keep on my tablet.

And how about the aspect ratio for video?

the aspect ratio is 4:3 which is better for reading than media so that seems to be a bit of a downside but that shouldnt be much of an issue

What about the Google Pixel C?

Right Now, there's still a 25% Off code (i got mine last week, 32gb for 374€).

It has a 1 : sqrt2 format (kinda between 4:3 and 16:9, making it a solid allrounder for Any Content.

Pretty much THE fastest android Tablet right now, it runs circles around the Galaxy Tab S2.

Of Course, it's not perfect, it has some Flaws:

- no Data cable in accessoires

- no GPS

- no Amoled (but still, a VERY good Display)

- With 517 gram a good bunch heavier than the 373 (something like that~~~) gram Tab S2. Also with a 9000 mAh Battery, instead a 5700 (Tab S2).

- no SD Card slot.

PROs:

- Big Battery. While watching Animes for a few hours via Proxer App (Stream @ WLAN), i managed 11 hours screen on time.

- Good Build Quality.

- Stereo Speakers (Sadly not Front facing.. But at least sideways, making it a symmetrical listening experience. A bit less "deep" than the Nexus 9 speakers (which were brilliant), but very good.

- stück Android, and 7-8 months old. That means: like another 1,5 Years the latest Android Version (or even a bit longer. Should be at LEAST Android O. If Lucky, Android P), and the next 2,5 (or even 3) Years monthly security patches. Galaxy Tab S2 is JUST about to get 6.0 Marshmallow, after 9 Months.

- Very good Display. Very Bright, good contrast, and very sharp

- Quite interesting 1 : sqrt 2 Format (1 : 1.41). So, as soon Android N hits, and brings  Split screen mode, you can half the screen, and the exact same format again (because the format is the same as a Sheet of Paper)

- Extremely strong GPU.

Other than that: If you don't need an SD Slot, and weight isnt that much of an issue, you're getting the best Android Tablet on the market right now.

Just a small reminder: Pixel "C" stands for convertible. But Android as a System makes it a quite bad convertible... MS Surface just fits the niche much better. Even iOS fits a bit betterin that role.

In my Opinion, the Pixel C shoudl be seen as a Pure Tablet. That's, where it is quite good.

Btw: Watching movies on a 4:3 Tab S2 isnt going to be ANY problem. Why would it? It's an Amoled screen. There won't be any "bars", because those pixels will be turned OFF. You will just "lose" some space, but that's MUCH less of an Issue, than most people imagine. I used a nexus 9 for videos too, it worked just fine, and i had no complaints whatsoever.

But the Pixel C is a big improvement.

The aspect ratio is fine, there are bars at the top and bottom when the video is in 16:9 aspect ratio but everything still fits fine.

Today i tried the s2 with flash video from one website, and it cant open that format at home i tried the same video on my father's nexus 7 and same issue (with chrome and firefox), but my phone (sony z3) can play it...

The main use for the tablet will be to watch flash videos and it looks like it can't... Am i wrong?

Flash itself is dying out. Android had support for it for a long time, but it slowly decreses.

Some manufacturers, (seems like Sony) still put Flash support into their very own Browser. Try using Chrome / Firefox on your Z3, it should not work.

There seem to be a few ways to get the support back. But also some Browsers still have Flash support built in.

But in the long run, Flash should really die out, it has no future. Many Websites are switching over to HTML 5, so it's just a matter of Time.

Maybe take a Look here: https://www.androidpit.com/how-to-install-flash-player-on-android

Or here: http://axeetech.com/2015/10/31/install-flash-player-for-android-6-0-marshmallow/

Flash is dead. Adobe killed off flash on mobile platforms. If you want to watch flash videos then you have to buy a Windows Tablet.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
