800$ dollar build

Hello all,

My friend wants to build his own computer. He is asking me for help. His budget is 800$ and he needs an OS as well. Should he just wait for the releases of the new amd cpus and gpus as well as nvidias gpus or should he build it now?

Thanks for your advice and help in advance.

Regards,

Jackson

It depends. If you find a really good deal on a used gpu you should just buy it and build around that. Witch game is her  going to play?

A 380 4GB would be fine, could just wait and save up for a high end GPU that comes out, or just wait I guess, maybe even AM4 will finally be out.

Did you need a display? Because then you could get a higher end free-sync display with like a 360 GPU, either 1080p 144hz TN, or a 1440p IPS display

June aparently

Also I'd avoid grey market keys probably. Just find it for free somewhere or something in that case. Also don't get an OEM key IF you're going to buy windows, and with windows 10 home you can't control security updates, only delay them from what I read.
