What to get... ugh

I'm feeling extremely indecisive. I don't know what he headphones to get. Def under $200, but less would be nice. Closed back. I'm mainly considering m50x's and DT770's. I'm wondering if any one has any specific input. Also, if I get 770's such ohm edition should I get? I don't have an amp, but I might save up and get an amp. Honestly just all the options ;-; I'm not sure.

out of those two the dt 770 is the clear winner when it comes to sound quality, sounds stage, comfort.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

The M50x wins on portability; nothing else.

 

The 80 ohm DT 770 is slightly more V-shaped and favored by listeners of EDM and other bass-heavy music. Both the 80 and 250 are about the same price in the US, so it's up to you which you get.

I would have to go with Beats Solo by Dre for their sheer quality and value.
