Just use the hd 598 you just bought, there is no reason for you to upgrade 1 day after you bought the 598. If you want to learn the basic things you could start out by reading my post about dacs and amps linked in my signature and after that read a little about the different headphones there is on the market and try headphones in stores or borrow from friends or family. Most of my knowledge is from experience, I have went to meet ups to try headphones and I have some friends that also are kinda crazy with headphones so I have borrowed headphones from them and tried them out. It is going to take some time for you to learn more than the basic things, but it might be wroth it who knows.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

No, its quite good, but that doesnt mean that you will like it, or if its worth your money.

You need to have more experience before you spend 1k on headphones

I remember that.

I also remember it was a long time ago when people yelled at me.

Why? Seems like you just want to be told what the "best" headphone is, which is lazy and annoying.
