CM MasterCase 5 Pro, how many fans is enough?

JMJenkins

So to make it short and sweet, getting a new PC soon, wanna make sure I have a positive or neutral air pressure in my case.

i7-5820k using a H100i with Noctua NF-F12 x2 fans on a pull configuration on top of the radiator.

EVGA 980 Ti Hybrid with Noctua NF-F12 fan on a push configuration.

CM MasterCase 5 Pro with Noctua NF-A14 x3 fans in the front pulling air in.

Now the question needs to be asked and answered, would this be too many front fans? Not enough pushing out? Should I just get an optical drive and just go with 2 front case fans instead of 3 (can only do one or the other)

Thanks!

Put the 980 Ti rad on the rear, just use the two front fans because the extra airflow won't do too much since your parts are watercooled. 3 fans gets real loud real fast.

Guess that makes sense, will go with 2x in the front, thanks.

I'm planning on it, the GPU and CPU will be OC'd until it doesn't crash my PC, but yeah. I won't have the PC till June 9th and will most likely upgrade to a 1080 Titan and a i7-6820k or whatever it will be only if they provide a nice performance boost.

But yeah, thanks for the help.

Yeah I would totally get a Pascal Titan but there is no reliable way for me to get $1000+ for my Titan X. Ebay can have buyer scams (happened 5 times for my PC lol) and they take too much of a cut. Craigslist has a dead market and I don't want to get shot in the sketchy part of town, using a classfield could just get me Paypal refunded and screwed. I'll probably just buy a used Titan X when the new cards come out. Right now they all went up $500 because they stopped production.

For the most part, if I want to get the new GPU/CPU, I'll just put the older parts into my old PC and make it the streaming PC, two-PC stream setup wouldn't be bad.

Yeah, I have enough to buy a $1-00 card but putting the Titan in my other system wouldn't do me any good because it already has an R9 380X which does perfectly fine.
