Surround setup questions

Hey guys.

Total audio noob here so sorry for some stupid questions..

I am considering buying the following setup
2 Scandyna Minipod mk1
2 Scandyna Micropod mk2
1 Scandyna Cinepod mk2
1 BassStation (subwoofer). mk2
And then a Yamaha Rx-V373

i can get this for around 6000 Dkk (1000$)

Can i connect my ps4, Tv, Tv box and chromecast to the reciever?

also, if i want to stream audio to the speakers, will a chromecast Audio work?

Any inputs, please hit me!

Hey fellow Dane. A chromecast will not work with 5.1 systems since it only spits out stereo, it will maybe make all the speakers play the same sound it will be like setting two stereo setups up and play the same song through them.
I dont have the best experience with those speakers, they look nice and all that, but I think the sound is meh for the price. If I was you I would look at systems from Wharfedale or making one yourself since it's not that hard to find all the things you will need. It's always good to look used.

but would i get sound from the whole setup?
Also, what do you think of the reciever?
Know the speakers are not the most amazing sounding, but since i am comming from a cheap 2.1 pc speaker system (altec Lansing mx5021) i am pretty sure it will sound way better :-)

Nice.

Arent all the speakers self powered or just some of them? If they are, then you need a special kind of receiver and they are not cheap.

The sub is powered, wich is good.

And the receiver is great, and will work well. i recomend using the HDMI as audio input.
