Light GPU benchmark tool for low-end GPU's

What benchmark tool should I use to see which is faster between the HD 5450 and the 9400 GT that I found lying around?

I would say.. the one with more vram

Unigine Valley. If I remember correctly the HD5450 is similar to the MR HD5650/5700, except at a higher clock speed.

The HD 5450 has 512 MB of GDDR3 vRAM while the 9400 GT has 1 GB of DDR2 vRAM.

GDDR3=DDR3, and just FYI, vRAM won't mean everything when you benchmark those particular cards.

well.. for just being there because both cards are bad... I would get hd 5450 because it uses less power xD.. and probably better than gt anyway

GDDR3 is based on DDR2 so you know

Which ever works best in Unigine Valley. And I'm feeling kind of bad for you as you only have the DDR2 version of the 5450, and its weaker than the MR HD5650 (running with a 120MHz OC, so 670MHz or faster than a MR 5770) that is in my laptop with 1GB DDR3 1600.

No, my HD 5450 is GDDR3. My 9400 GT is DDR2.

i would use the low end benchmarks in the 3dmark benchmark suite

How so? Just look at the fps for a rough comparison. Sure, it's not as thorough as unigine or an in-game benchmark but it'll tell him which is faster, no?

Tried Furmark. Virtually no fps difference.
