New GPU?

slyffer6

Hello Guys!

So I have recently had my birthday and for it I got some PC parts:

I7 6700K

Z170-AR

16GB of hyperx savage DDR4

H1200 pro water cooler

(I payed for $500 out of $900 it costed before you ask)

I was wondering what GPU should i get, i currently have a R9 270 (non x) but i feel that its bottle-necking my PC and was wondering if i should get another and crossfire them or buy a totally new card.

What are your thoughts?

Use this for as long as possible, then upgrade.

The problem is that this is an nVidia product and scoring any nVidia product a "zero" is also highly predictive of the number of nVidia products the reviewer will receive for review in the future.

Only yours, you don't shitpost on the same level that we can, mainly because this thread is finally dead and should be locked.

I wasn't wrong. It's extremely rare that I am. I provided sources as well. Different devs can disagree. Further, we now have confirmed discrepancy from Twitter about he use of the pre-release 1080 driver in AMD's demo despite the release 1080 driver having been out a week prior.

You apparently haven't seen his responses to questions on YouTube. He is very condescending and aggressive in his comments with which there is little justification. He acts totally different in his videos. I don't necessarily care for this content style and there is nothing really unique about him or his channel. His endless dick jokes and toilet humor are annoying as well.

sell it and get a better card like the 980ti or r9 390, they're the best card at their price point

whats your budget? `-`

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

It's bottlenecking but as Shanewaz say, wait atleast till pascal release and than go for a maybe 1 year old GTX 980 TI or wait if you can wait even longer and go for a Polaris card.

EDIT: But for sure you could even make now a little step back and take maybe a GTX 780 (the r9 290 or r9 290x got abused for mining most of the time if they're cheap, I only buy these from people I personaly know), you will have to change it in the near future again but the bottleneck ist as bad as with a r9 270

BTW! If you now play in this league the next go after the GPU upgrade is a nice monitors (IPS?!) and  freeSync/GSync, features like 144hz, 1440p(2K with better refreshrate) or 2160p(4K for more soloplay expirence)

Know this there is nearly everytime a possible upgrade xD it's a dream/nightmare (moneywise)
