M.2 PCI SSD Purchase Help

bboyhurricane

My current SSD is running low and is connected by SATA. My motherboard is a Z170 Pro4 from Asrock and supports Ultra M.2 (PCIe Gen3 x4 & SATA3) as stated on the site. I'm interested in the Samsung Evo 850 500 GB, as I am new to this type of storage, will this be compatible? Thanks.

CPU: i5 6600K, Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo, GPU: r9 390, Memory: 8GB ddr4, 1080p Monitor

Yep, it will work. I just got done installing one in a friends's laptop. M.2 is so tiny. It does get a bit hot though under load though.
