So I am getting an amd 10 7850k and I was wondering what is the absolute best gpu for it that will not be bottlenecked by it, I also may consider overclocking the cpu, would that change anything?

Also would it be better to go for a lesser gpu than the one that is the best for the APU and overclock it or should I just get the best one and not overclock it/only a tiny bit.

Also....I would preffer nvidea!

And the Apu is definite so I cant change it for reasons

Thanks :D

I wouldn't place anything more than a GTX 960 or an R9 380 with a 7850K.

Not above 4.2GHz, because if you even get it past that, the OC won't do much that makes maintaining the OC worthwhile.

Are you going to try to crossfire with it?

Unsure what power supply to pick?

Yea i don't think you can crossfire with a 380 now that I think about it

You can't even crossfire a 380 with your APU, so its a moot point.

I don't think crossfire is worth it since most games don't have the support especially since you could only use a r7 250 maximum. I would recommend just going with a 960

And I'll just add for those who recommend an R9 380, Nvidia has lower driver overhead so on CPU such as the A10 7850K, it won't have as great an impact on the APU's performance as an R9 380.

I agree with the suggestion of the GTX 960 or R9 380, if you get either of them. Make sure they're the 4GB models.

Don't buy an APU and put a GPU with it, pointless. Get like an i3 and GTX 960

Why are you getting an APU but not using the igpu? It's better to get a separate cpu if you already want a separate graphics card.

I am getting one of those crappy "SUPER FAST AMD 8GB 1TB GAMING PC" pieces of crap because I cant build my own( because my mother doesn't trust me) and anything intel is out of my budget which is about 260 ish pounds, Its because my mum is a bloody nut. :(

Get the fastest GPU you can afford. And when you get a better CPU you might unlock a little more performance.

My 280 was bottlenecked in some games with my 7850K at 4(? Can't remember the exact number, something like that)GHz. 380/960 is the max I'd ever consider putting with a 7850K.

Well make sure you have an 8 pin or 6 pin cable (depending on the graphics card) on your Power supply to hook up an extra graphics card. You never really know with prebuilt gaming pcs

Unsure what power supply to pick?
