Build for my PAB Bro (-$600 Budget)

GeekJump

While I was fiddling with my PC my brother came up to me and told me the words many of us here would love to here "can you build me a computer?" *cue the angelic chorus*

Now, his only requirement....it must run Guild Wars 2 on highest settings.........>_> yup'. But I know that down the line if he wants to play a modern title and it can't run it he will be pissed and consider it a loss of money. So with $600 budget best bang for the buck! - preferably lower since that budget, while not directly connected, is tied to peripherals budget.

This is what I quickly threw together, please feel free to destroy it and recommend changes. I originally had a 960 in there but swapped it out for 380x. I also think my mind is clouded and I keep trying to aim for something extreme when it's not needed. Just 1080p/60fps/high settings on most games will do.

overkill on the mobo, you could get a cheaper mobo and get a r9 390 instead. or do you want a super small pc?

Yea, he has a small apartment w/ a dog so it needs to be small to fit somewhere up high. I had to constantly clean out his last pc (cheap prebuild pc on the floor) XO

That's what I was thinking but I wanted to see if I can get it in there with the budget.

If I go full htpc/console size the prices start going up. That cooler master case size is the smallest I found before the prices increase. Maybe if one came with a decent psu to offset the cost but haven't found one yet.
